THE MUMMY MOT

Post-Natal Assessment

The Mummy MOT is a comprehensive assessment of your movement, core strength, breathing, scars & pelvic floor function for any post-natal lady, and is recommended from 6 weeks on-wards.  There is no time limit as to when you can have a Mummy MOT so if you are 6 weeks, 6 months or 6 years post-natal you can still book an appointment.  If you are suffering with postnatal pain, painful intercourse, incontinence, prolapse, DRA (tummy muscle separation) or just want advice on returning to exercise & hobbies this is the assessment for you! The assessment can last up to 70min and you will receive a report of findings and exercise programme following the session.

ABOUT ME

Striving to make people better

My goal at Amy Archer Physiotherapy is to restore your mobility, keep you moving, increase your strength, reduce your pain or dysfunction and ensure your rehabilitation is effective, efficient and stress-free.

Graduating from Northumbria University in 2004, I have been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist for over 18 years having worked in private clinics, the NHS and a range of occupational health settings as a senior physiotherapist.  I have a PGCert in Manipulative therapy and completed the AACP accredited acupuncture course many years ago.

Since having had my own children I have developed a keen interest in Women's Health and have completed a number of courses with some of the best tutors in the field (Ruth Jones, Jilly Bond, Diane Lee and Maria Elliot from The Mummy MOT to name but a few). This has allowed me to develop my knowledge and skills in this area.  I am passionate about helping women especially those struggling in pregnancy and post-natal.

Outside of work I am a busy mum to 4 children. I enjoy running, HIIT & weight training and occasional yoga and love being outdoors with the family!
